BORN "N" RAISED, INC. Professional Guide Service

BORN "N" RAISED on the San Juan River, Inc provides a wide variety of professionally guided Wade and Float trips on the fabulous San Juan River covering all seasons. Guided trips are available as either 1/2 day trips or Full Day trips. Full Day trips include a Streamside Lunch. The professional Guides can provide casting tips, fishing tips and an intimate knowledge of fishing the changing conditions on the San Juan River. Born "N" Raised guides are seasoned in working with fishermen of all skill levels including beginner to expert.

Born "N" Raised can provide guides and drift boats for individual fishermen or Corporate/Club groups up to 18 anglers. If you need to provide guides/boats for more than 18 anglers Born "N" Raised can make arrangements for you to provide additional resources through independent contractors.

BORN "N" RAISED is one of the original Guide Services on the San Juan River going back to 1988. The owner/outfitter, Tim Chavez, son of Abe and Patsy Chavez, has lived almost his entire life on the San Juan. Born "N" Raised has provided guide services for anglers from all over the world.

Meet the Guides of BORN "N" RAISED
Tim Chavez Tim and his wife Andrea are the owners of Born "N" Raised. Tim is the youngest son of Abe and Patsy Chavez, founders of Abe's Motel and Fly Shop. Tim has literally grown up at Navajo Dam and opened Born "N" Raised as one of the original Guide Services on the San Juan. Born "N" Raised is a licensed NM outfitter.

Don Haber Don has guided with Born "N" Raised for many years. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves fishing the San Juan. As with all Born "N" Raised Guides, Don has the ability to work with clients from beginners to expert. Don has a wonderful approach in catering to the needs of Born "N" Raised clients.

Chris Kirchmaier \Chris is like all Born "N" Raised guides - he loves to fish! His passion for fishing is matched by his knowledgge of fly fishing. Born "N" Raised guides enjoy a days work in a drift boat as their desk and the fabulous San Juan River as their "office".

Buddy Pierce Buddy is a very experienced Guide who has been fishing the San Juan since 1964. From beginner to expert, Buddy is comfortable with all client skill levels on the San Juan.

Roger Hibner Roger first fished the San Juan in 1974 and began Guiding over 15 years ago. Roger does wade, float or combination float/wade trips.

Dusty Wyrum Dusty is a seasoned San Juan guide joining the Born "N" Raised staff with many years of experience and lots of satisfied clients.

Guided Fishing Pricing

Most Guided Trips on the San Juan are done on the Quality Water (STW) either by Wade fishing or in a Drift boat. Trips are also available on the Regular Regulation section of the river or on the Lower River. Drift boats can support 1 Guide and up to 2 clients.

All Born "N" Raised guides are skilled at recognizing and adapting to the changing conditions on the river. Born "N" Raised guides are comfortable working with clients of all fly fishing experience levels from complete beginners to seasoned anglers.

Born "N" Raised can support large groups or personalize fishing trips for individual anglers. Drift boats are capable of seating 1 Guide and 2 fishermen.
